Made it to the mountains

We made it to the mountains and it is absolutely GORGEOUS(and FREEZING). The mountains are truly breathtaking with the blue sky and snow dusted trees. We decided to take a drive up the canyon to Park City and wanted to take the back way because it’s a stunning drive. Well it was a fun drive until we reached half way up the canyon and noticed we only have 15 miles to get down to Park City where the gas station was. We didn’t really have any other choice than to keep driving and hope that we make it up to Guardsman Pass. Well long story short Guardsman Pass was completely snowed in and blocked off for all vehicles.  Let us remind you that we are at an elevation of 9,700ft- Yes, and stuck at the top of the canyon now with 5 miles to get back down.

As you can imagine anxiety set in(mostly for Kenzie haha) so we said our prayers, put the car in neutral and started to coast down the canyon. A weight was lifted off our shoulders when we pulled up to the gas station with 1 mile to spare.

With all of this behind us and a full tank of gas we finally made our way up to Park City. We walked main street, popped into local art studios, braved the cold with a cup of coffee and took in the beautiful mountain slopes. Of course we had pull off to one of the mountain sides and take in the stunning snow covered passes and trees.

Utah is RAD! This trip was short and sweet but reminds us of how blessed we are to have been able to grow up in such a beautiful place.

Cheers,

K||C
