DIY Jars and Bottles

We LOVE this arts and crafts project and are sure you will too! These jars are perfect for decorating your house, or even given to a friend as a thoughtful gift. This project is budget friendly and very easy to do. So grab your supplies and get to it!!

Step 1: Grab your magazines, news papers, or literally any kind of print or paper you like. Start cutting. You can keep a theme, or you can make it as funky and unique as you want.

Step 2: When you’ve cut out all of your paper clippings, put them to the side. Grab your brush, mod podge and glass wear. Dip the brush into the mod podge and apply a coat on the back of your first paper clipping.

Step 3: Press the paper on the glass and paint a little mod podge on top of the paper to secure it to the jar.

Step 4: Repeat this step for all of your clippings until your glass is covered, or it is to your liking.

Step 5: We like to use hemp yarn to wrap around the top of the jar, bottle or vase to finish off the look. If you like this look, grab your yarn, glue gun and start gluing. Wrap your yarn around and glue every few wraps to keep it in place.

Step 6: Let it dry for 5 minutes.

And BAM! You have a beautifully decorated jar. We have made some and used it as a jewelry holder for bracelets, as well as a flower vase or candle holder. So many ways you can use this awesome arts and craft project.

Also, we would love to see or hear about any recreations of these cool jars! Tag us @kc_doubletake for Instagram or write to us in the comments!

Cheers,
