Picnic in the Park

What better way to celebrate the beginning of February and this gorgeous sunny and 70 degree weather than to pack a picnic and head to the park.

We thought we would throw in a little rustic feel for our afternoon picnic with a charcuterie board and amazing sandwich from the local neighbor shop: Goat Sheep Cow. They provide exceptional cheese, charcuterie, wine, and gourmet groceries from around the world. Kellie, the general manager at Goat Sheep Cow, was absolutely amazing and helped us pick the perfect cheese and meats for our afternoon outing. Monday through Saturday they make a different a sandwich from the products in their store, fresh…every morning. They make a limited production, so when they’re gone, they’re gone. But…oh man are they delicious!

Daily Sandwich: Italian sweet and dry salame, Campo de Montlban, Duke’s mayo, basil pesto, roasted tomatoes, greens on an EVO Semolina Baguette.

Cheese: Buffalo Gorgonzola(Our Fav!), Tomme De Chèvre, Roomano Paradera.

Meats: Prosciutto De Parma, Rosette De Lyon.

We bought some fresh flowers from Trader Joes, packed the car with a blanket, pillows, mugs, tea and our afternoon spread and headed to the beautiful, Hampton Park.

Song birds were sining, dogs running all over the place and the sun was shining down without a cloud in the sky; this February day couldn’t have been more relaxing and beautiful.

Cheers,

K||C
