As many of you know we just got back from our fun-filled sister vacation at the Sonesta Resort Hilton Head, where we attended the Hilton Head Food & Wine Festival. We were super excited because even though it’s only a 2-hour drive from Charleston, we had never been down to visit before. So when were invited down to experience Sonesta & the Food & Wine Fest, we couldn’t pass up it up! Let’s just say we will most definitely be back!! Here is a little break down of our fun trip thanks to Sonesta Resort Hilton Head.

DAY 1
We checked into our room, which was incredibly spacious & included a balcony that overlooked the gorgeous pool area. We hadn’t eaten all day, so we decided to grab some lunch at the pool. We ordered the burger, the fried chicken BLT & how could we pass up a couple of pina coladas? After devouring our lunch & soaking up a little sun by the pool, we explored the property. The property is so beautiful & has so many different features that we loved. They have ponds, fire pits, lounging areas, hammocks & the beach in their backyard.

That night we were invited to the Grand Tasting Event for the Hilton Head Food & Wine Fest located at the stunning Harbor Town Clubhouse. It was so much fun walking around & tasting incredible wines from all around the world. Carol even got interviewed by the Food & Wine media team, which was kinda fun!

We ended the night with a beautiful Asian inspired dinner at the resort under the pavilion where we met the other bloggers who were staying at Sonesta as well.
DAY 2
Day 2 started with an early walk to the beach followed by an absolutely delicious breakfast with the Sonesta FAM.
After breakfast, we all piled into a van & drove over to hop onto our next form of transportation, a CATAMARAN. How cool is that? This was most definitely one of the highlights of our trip. It was about a 2-hour boat ride to the other side of Hilton Head where the food & wine fest was being held. The captains of the boat were so knowledgeable & taught us all about Hilton Head on the way over.

We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day to attend the Food & Wine Fest. Included in your ticket to the fest is a cool wine glass with the year on it! Our day was filled with walking around tasting wines from all around the world, listening to music & people watching!
After the food & wine fest, we headed back to the resort to spend the rest of our day relaxing & exploring some more. We are not the biggest drinkers, so the wine definitely took it out of us a little bit. ha! We had to take a quick power nap & then we were ready for the rest of the day. This little area below was probably one of our favorite spots to post up & take it easy. The palm trees, hammock & soft sand, I mean can it get any better?

We ended our last day with a special dinner with the Sonesta team. We were treated to an incredibly tasty 4-course meal along with wine pairings for each course. Although the meal was absolutely delicious our favorite part of the night was the conversations we had at the table with everyone.
OVERALL REVIEW OF SONESTA:
During the last dinner, we were asked what our favorite part of our trip was. We can honestly say that our favorite part was meeting & getting to know all the amazing people who were apart of this trip. Everyone from the valet to the front desk, to the INCREDIBLE sales & marketing team (Shout out to Colin, Tracey & Chris), to the sweet bloggers who we now consider friends, were who made our trip that much more special. The staff truly made us feel like family & we are most definitely leaving with a handful of new friends! The rooms were beautiful, comfortable & clean. The food fresh & delicious. The property is perfect for a girls getaway or a family vacation with little ones. They have something for everyone!
So all in all, we loved our time at Sonesta & would definitely recommend it to any of y’all. Thank you so much to Sonesta for having us! We will never forget this trip!!
